An illustrator for The New York Times, Alice Armstrong was also a painter and lithographer*. She lived in New York City. Her education included Skidmore College, Art Students League* of New York with George Bridgman and George Luks; National Academy of Design* with Charles Hawthorne, and Grand Central School of Art* with Wayman Adams, Harvey Dunn, and Jonas Lie.
