| Born in Norway on May 1, 1863. Anderson studied at the ASL in NYC and AIC under Brush, Melchers, and Freer. He was at one time associate editor of Boys World. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 1903, he was an art critic for the Los Angeles Times for 23 years. He relinquished the position to Arthur Millier in 1926. Anderson died on March 12, 1939 in Hermosa Beach, CA. Although mainly as a critic, his artwork includes landscapes, portraits, and figure studies. Member: Calif. Art Club.
