| Born in Cheyenne, WY on July 23, 1905. Bernice Fulton began her art studies with her father Fitch Fulton. She came to California in 1914 with her father who was commissioned to work on the railroad exhibit at the PPIE. After one year in Denver, they settled in Los Angeles. Upon graduation from UCLA, she taught art locally at Belmont High School. In 1932 she married Navy officer Crutchfield Adair.
