After studying at the National Art School of Stockholm from 1870-1880,
Carl George Arsenius left for Paris where he became a student of
Jean-Paul Laurens.
He choose Chantilly, France as his permanent residence in 1886, which
did not prevent King Oscar II of Sweden to continually order equestrian
portraits from the artist.
He was later hired by the paper Sport for his drawings, and soon
became widely renowned for his horse paintings, which he did with
spontane (showing 500 of 707 characters). |
