| A painter known for her still lifes, Clara Arnold was also an art teacher in her home towns of Providence and East Providence, Rhode Island. She studied with her father, James Arnold, who was a commercial artist, and with her uncle, Charles Arnold, a western painter.
Prang & Company reproduced her still life paintings as chromolithographs. She was married to a portrait painter, John Nelson Arnold. |
