Showing early art talent, Courtney Allen became a noted book and magazine illustrator from his studio in New Rochelle, New York and also was an educator and painter.
Courtney Allen had his first work of art, an illustration, purchased by the newspaper of his hometown in Norfolk, Virginia when he was eleven years old. This encouragement set him on his career path, which began with study at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC and in Provincetown at the Cape Cod School with Charles (showing 500 of 1292 characters). |
