A resident of San Antonio, Texas, Estellyn Achning was active there and in Wichita Falls as a painter and graphic artist. She painted scenes of Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico including ethnic studies and plant life and was also an illustrator and writer of short stories.
Achning was born in Atlanta, Texas and attended, 1926-27, the Kidd-Key College in Sherman, Texas, and the Taos Field School at the University of New Mexico from 1940 to 42. From 1944 to 1946, she studied at the Colorado (showing 500 of 1118 characters). |
