| A resident of New Orleans from his birth in 1872, Eugene Andrieu was an
amateur landscape painter in watercoler and pastel and woodcarver who
exhibited with the Art Association of New Orleans. His primary
profession was real estate agent and broker, but his interest in art
came from his father, Jules Frank Andrieu, from whom he took
lessons. He also studied with Ellsworth Woodward.
