A painter, architect and wood carver, Lloyd Albright lived in Dalhart, Texas and was born in Cleburne, Texas. He was very interested in adobe structures and designed many replicas of them for Dalhart including his own studio, a two-level structure, which he decorated with his wood carvings. As a painter, he did numerous New Mexico and West Texas landscapes and scenes with adobes, missions, mountains and trees.
He worked for the Rock Island Railroad and was in the Army during World War I.< (showing 500 of 970 characters). |
