| Born in New York in 1868. Frances was the wife of artist Linwood Ames. Arriving in southern California in 1924, the couple lived in La Jolla briefly before settling in Sierra Madre. She died in Los Angeles on Dec. 17, 1937. Exh: San Diego FA Gallery, 1926.
