This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Known for his religious paintings especially "The Opening of the Sixth Seal or The End of the World", Francisco Anello was born in Italy and arrived in New York from Milan in the mid 1830s. He exhibited at the Boston Athenaeum and the National Academy, and the Frick Art Reference Library has his diary.
