Frank Austin is a Navajo painter and textile designer of Indian and wildlife subjects, and his style ranges from realistic to abstract. He was born in Tsegi Canyon, northeastern Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. He attended the Reservation school at Tuba City, the Phoenix Indian School and, on a Rockefeller Scholarship, the Southwest Indian Workshop at the University of Arizona, Tucson. He also attended Te (showing 500 of 1773 characters). |
