This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Little is known about him except that according to Doris Dawdy in "Artists of the American West" taking her information from James Taylor Forest, Anderson painted in Arizona and New Mexico in the late 1800s. He also was a marine artist.
In "Who Was Who in American Art", Peter Falk lists George M Anderson who lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. Our assumption is that this reference and the Dawdy's belong to the same person. |
