| Born in Hudson, WI on Sept. 17, 1895. Ansley came to California in 1901 with his family and soon settled in Santa Cruz where he remained. After studying at the CCAC and with Xavier Martinez, he was active in the art scene in Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Bay area. His oils include landscapes, townscapes, portraits, and still lifes. Ansley died in Santa Cruz on July 26, 1980.
