| Joe Anna Arnett received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Texas, Austin. She then moved to New York City, where she worked in commercial advertising for six years, eventually becoming a senior art director. For four years, in the evenings, she studied at the Art Students League.
In 1984, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico and it was there that she married her husband, watercolor artist, James Asher.
The artist is best known for her oil paintings of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. She grows the majority of her own subject matter in Santa Fe and works primarily in the studio.
She has written a book, "Painting Sumptuous Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers in Oil" and currently writes for "The Artists Magazine".

| Joe Anna Arnett is known for her lush still lifes featuring flowers
from her own garden. Her oil paintings, which are rendered in the
tradition of the Old Masters, have earned her inclusion in such
prestigious invitational shows as the Prix de West and the Artists of
America Show.
She has also exhibited at the Gilcrease Museum, Tucson Museum of Fine Arts and the Cincinnati Museum Center.
