| Born in Devon, England, John Angel became a sculptor of statues, monuments, medals, and portrait busts in England and the United States. His work included war memorials in England at Exeter, Bridgewater, and Rotherham, and busts and statues for churches in Oxford and Yorkshire. In the United States, he worked extensively including a panel for the East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a sculpture for a Chapel at Princeton University; and a chapel at St. Paul's School in Co (showing 500 of 1174 characters). |
