Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
A student of both the RDS Drawing School and the Cork School of Art, Joseph
Poole Addey later became the first Head Master of the Londonderry
School of Art. In the latter half of his life he lived mostly in
Dublin, working as a tutor to students of the Dublin Metropolitan
School of Art.
He often took outdoor sketching classes at Rathfarnham
Castle during the summer holidays. He also regularly accompanied the
Dublin Sketching Club outings to Kingstown (now Dun Laoghaire) (showing 500 of 1241 characters). |
