College: California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, Ca.
Archuleta's professional career in art began with portraiture in 1972. With this means he supported a wife and two children at that time. Since 1976, Archuleta has devoted his work to rendering landscapes, particularly forest scenes.
His style ranges from contemporary to traditional impressionism. Some paintings are thin wash like, others are impasto.
