Biography from Butler Institute of American Art:
| Leon Applebaum is a sculptor and glassblower, who was born in Toledo, Ohio and studied at Peabody College, Akrahallskollan in Sweden and Rochester Institute of Technology School.
His work can be found in the Wheaton Museum of Glass, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and Corning Museum of Glass.
He has exhibited at Suenger National Sculpture exhibit, the Galerie Verrd Art in Montreal and Crafts International in Kanazawa Japan.
He has won a best of crafts gold medal in Toledo, Best of Show in the Miami Beach Art Festival and Creative Glass Chapter of the American Fellow.
