| Lola F. Ades was born in Hawaii on March 9, 1913. Ades arrived in southern California in the 1930s and lived for many years in Huntington Beach. Her work is amply illustrated in Walter Foster Publication’s series of How to Paint books. She is best known for her rose paintings, some of which are signed, “Lola” She died in Sedona, AZ on April 5, 2002.
