| | Born in Teapa, Mexico in 1909. Arenal studied art and architecture in Mexico City before moving to Los Angeles in 1932. While there, he assisted David Siqueiros in painting murals in the Chouinard Art School and Plaza Art Center. He was prominent in the Mexican art world until his death on May 7, 1985.
