| | Lula Josephine Holden Adams was born in Texas on Sept. 3, 1879. The Holden family settled on a farm in Los Angeles in the 1880s. Lula studied at the School of Art & Design in 1900-01. About 1908 she married Daniel Adams and remained in Los Angeles until her demise on June 21, 1952.
