| | Born in Italy on June 15, 1882. Mary Cali immigrated with her family to California about 1893 and settled in Oakland. At an early age she wed Joseph Arena. During the 1920s and 1930s she was active in the local art scene. She died in Oakland on Oct. 12, 1953.
