| Painter of miniatures and portraits. Born in Troy, OH on Aug. 9, 1888. Allen studied with Duveneck in Cincinnati, and in NYC at the School of Applied Design for Women and the ASL. While a resident of Pasadena during the 1920s, she was director of the Stickney School of Art. By 1929 she had returned to Troy where she was active through the early 1960s.
She died in San Diego, CA on Jan. 7, 1974.
