Michele Amatrula is an artist and illustrator whose work has appeared in many publications. Spanning a broad array of disciplines, her oil paintings have been featured as book covers, magazine illustrations and postage stamps. She has rendered illustrations for publications and publishers such as Harper Collins, Villard Books, Hearst Corporation, Avalon Books, Cooks Illustrated, L'oreal, Upside Magazine, Guideposts, Time Inc., Essence Magazine, Mortgage Technology
Magazine, Random House, Scholastic, Penthouse/Forum, Psychology Today, and others. Ms. Amatrula's black and white renderings have appeared regularly in the New York Times for a wide array of clients.
Since graduating Parson's School of Design in the 1980's, Michele has made a name for herself as a realist. Her work is held in several collections across the country. She is also the recipient of the the 2002 & 2003 Artemis Award.
