| A sculptor, crafts person, lithographer, and etcher, Newell Arnold lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kirkwood, Missouri. From 1938 to 1947, he was an instructor of ceramics at Monticello College in Godfrey, Illinois. He earned a B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and studied with Carl Milles at Cranbrook Academy. He was a member of the St. Louis Art Guild.
Arnold did numerous private commissions for homes and churches in Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Minnesota, and Illinois.
