| | Born in Cooperstown, NY in 1872, the son of artist Bradley Armstrong. Percy moved to California with his family in 1876 and settled in Oakland. He learned to paint from his father and by 1891 was working in Oakland as an artist. He died in San Jose, CA on April 9, 1896 of liver disease. | Source:
