 Born in Prague in 1955, he attended the Fine Arts Academy from 1971 to 1979, majoring in stage design. In 1979 he and his wife emigrated to Western Germany, where he subsequently worked as a stage costume designer, painter, and graphic artist for theaters, exhibitions, and galleries.
Andri was working as an artist in New York City in 1983, winning a first prize for illustration in Los Angeles, California. He died in 1996.
