exhibited in the United States including the Art Institute of Chicago
in 1937. In England, Austin had a renowned reputation as a
painter, draughtsman, engraver and etcher. He received special
recognition for being both the President of the Royal Watercolour
Society (from 1956) and President of the Royal Society of
Painter-Etchers (from 1962).
