Biography from Butler Institute of American Art:
| A painter and photographer, Robert Amft was born in Chicago in 1916 and studied at the School of the Art Institute School. His work in the Butler Institute of American Art and Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky.
Robert Amft has had one-man shows at Countryside Art Center in Arlington Heights and Illinois Printers. He was awarded first prize in painting at New Horizons; the Renaissance Prize at the 75th Artists of Chicago.
