Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he is a plein air landscape painter living in Tuscarora, Nevada. His medium is oil, and he completes his paintings outside, never working from photographs.
He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1984 and then studied for three years at the Atelier Le Sueur at Excelsior, Minnesota. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he made two plein-air painting trips to France and from 1989 to 1992 studied figure painting and drawing at t (showing 500 of 806 characters). |
