Ross Andru (1927-1993)
Working in animation, he eventually decided to focus on comics and attended courses at the School of Visual Arts. His first job was doing the weekly Tarzan page for Burne Hogarth starting in 1948. Three years later he started a long-time cooperation with Mike Esposito, who inked most of Andru's artwork from then on. They started out creating Mister Universe and Mister Mistery for Media Publications, and cooperated on Joe Yank (showing 500 of 1891 characters). |
