| The following, submitted March 2005, is from the artist.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Troy Ammons creates mystical work bordering on abstract and surrealism as well as realistic still lifes. He won the fine arts award from Pensacola High School, but abandoned a formal art education and career for architecture. He received a professional degree in architecture in 1983 and still practices architecture in Deerfield Beach, Florida today. Painting has always been a passion, and Ammons continues to paint professionally.
