A painter and illustrator who lived briefly in Texas in the early 1930s, Victor
Anderson spent most of his life in New York state, settling in White Plains where he died in 1937. He was the son of Frank Anderson, a Hudson River School painter, and although his father died when he was eight years old, Victor drew and painted from the time he was a youngster.
When he enrolled in the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, he was accomplished enough to go directly into the life-drawing class. He s (showing 500 of 1352 characters). |
