| A teacher at Los Angeles City College from 1935 to 1946, Charles Anderson was active in the California art scene in the early part of the 20th century and also spent time in Hawaii. He exhibited with the Artists and Sculptors of Hawaii and the California Water Color Society.

| Born on Dec. 14, 1901 in Constantinople, Turkey. Anderston studied at UCLA and CCAC. He taught at Los Angeles City College in 1935-46. He died in Los Angeles on Nov. 19, 1963.
