This biography from the Archives of AskART:
William Graham Anthony studied history at Yale University, where he experimented with a couple of art classes under Josef Albers' instruction.  Periodically he also attended the Art Students' League (1958 and 1961).

Anthony received his B.A. from Yale and went to California, where he attended the San Francisco Art Institute.  In 1962, he taught figure drawing at an art school in San Francisco.  Anthony is the author of A New Approach to Figure Drawing and published Bible Stories.  The Jargon Society also published Bill Anthony's Greatest Hits (1988).

He returned to New York City, where he was the director, of the Spectrum Art Gallery from 1965-1966.  He also did a series of drawings for the magazine,  Andy Warhol's Interview.
