| | Born in Walhalla, ND on Aug. 13, 1914. Bryce graduated from San Jose State University and taught art at Santa Clara High School from 1937-41. After obtaining his M.A. degree at Columbia University, he headed the art departments at University of Alameda (1941-42) and San Francisco State (1948-58). Until 1964 he was specialist of fine arts for HEW in Washington, DC. He then was president of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia until 1975. He died there on May 24, 1990.
