This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following information was submitted by Wendy Ricks Hoff, granddaughter of the artist.

Deborah Daigh (who also painted under her married name, Deborah Ricks), had her painting Trees and an Old House catalogued #229 in the International Water Color Exhibition 1934 at the Art Institute of Chicago.
While her earlier work, primarily under the name Deborah Daigh, is still being located, it is known that Deborah Daigh married and began painting under the name Deborah Ricks. At this time she still used watercolor as her primary medium, and mainly painted landscapes, but began painting abstract oil and a few portraits in later years.

Also, I have discovered a newspaper article, the pertinent information being that she attended the Layton School of Fine Arts in 1927 and 1928.  Also she had a painting accepted in the 2nd Annual exhibit of Young American Artists by the Academy of Fine Arts - Chicago. It was a watercolor entitled Pigsville.
