| Born in Covington, KY on June 30, 1876. Eberlein studied in Cincinnati with Duveneck. He was active in NYC before settling in Summit, NJ. His home “Free Acres” was an artists’ colony there at Berkeley Heights. He painted in California before his death in Summit on Jan. 26, 1931. Two fires during his lifetime destroyed the bulk of his work, making extant paintings rare.
