This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Edith Milsk was born in St Paul, MN on Nov. 15, 1899. "Mark" Milsk studied at California School of Fine Art (Sacramento), Art Students League of NYC, and Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. By the 1930s she had settled in San Francisco and had a studio on Montgomery Street. During the 1940s she married Ed Imperato. She died in San Pablo, CA on Dec. 21, 1982.

Exh: San Francisco Museum of (Modern) Art Inaugural, 1935; Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939; Crocker Art Gallery (Sacramento), 1940s; De Young Museum; Gump's (SF), 1941 (solo); Foundation of Western Art (LA); Calif. Society of Etchers, 1942-45 (awards).

Works Held: California State Library (Sacramento); San Francisco Museum of (Modern) Art.
