This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A founding member of the National Academy of Design in 1826 and a member of the American Academy from 1821 to 1828, Julian Parisen was a portrait painter who lived in New York City on William Street, the same address as his artist brother, William Parisen.  Not much is known of Julian's career except that he painted a portrait of Samuel Latham Mitchill, a New York physician and politician.

Exhibition venues included the American Academy and National Academy of Design.
