Frieda Portmann (1895-1976)
Painter, printmaker, craftsman, teacher.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, she attended the University of Washington, Oregon State University, and studied with Ambrose Patterson, Walter Isaacs, Alexander Archipenko.
She was a member of the Women Painters of Washington and the Northwest Printmakers Society.
Her work is in the collection of the Seattle Art Museum.
