"Trader Horn spent his youth as an ivory trader in Central Africa. This is the true story of his life--thrills, adventure and danger at every turn.  He writes about his journeys into jungles teaming with buffalo, gorillas, man-eating leopards, serpents and savages.  Along the way, he frees slaves, meets Cecil Rhodes (founder of Rhodesia) and liberates a princess from captivity.

This book has one of the earliest descriptions of "Mokele-mbembe"--a large mythical (so far) creature (showing 500 of 1851 characters).
