Michael Kelly studied at the Art Students League of New York in the early 1930's. He was in Robert Brackmans class and possibly others. He lived for about 50 years on the Hudson River in Cold Spring, New York where he and his wife operated an antiques shop. He sold his paintings in this shop as well.
Michael Kelly died in the late 1980's when he was about 80 years old.
