| Born in Shelbyville, Indiana, Marlin Linville became a plein-air painter of Texas and western landscapes including scenes near his studio on a wooded acreage in Round Rock, Texas and surrounding states of New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
He was raised on farm near Shelbyville, and as a youth, always seemed to find time for drawing. He attended Purdue State in Indiana as a political science major and graduated with a degree in art from the University of Texas.
Linville died in 2001 from cancer when he was fifty-one years old. |
