| | Born in Rome, Italy on Sept. 14, 1897. Following service in the Italian army during WWI, D’Elia immigrated to Los Angeles. For 30 years he worked there as a scenic artist for the motion picture studios. He died of heart failure in Los Angeles on March 24, 1949.
