| | Born in Wisconsin on Oct. 5, 1887. Mrs. Kurtsahn moved to northern California in 1928. While working as an editing clerk for Fort Mason Publications, she painted in her leisure. For many years she lived in Berkeley and later in nearby Kensington. She died in the latter on Jan. 7, 1968.
