| Jack Chikamichi Yamasaki was born in Kagoshima, Japan on November 19, 1904. Yamasaki arrived in California in 1922 and spent his first six years in Imperial Valley. He then moved to San Francisco and studied at the California School of Fine Arts and continued in New York City at the Art Students League. He then lived in Los Angeles (except during 1942-45 when he was interned at Santa Anita Assembly Center) until his demise on November 14, 1985.
Exhibited: California Palace of Legion of Honor, 1930, 1931.
