This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A sporting-art painter as well as a professional wilderness guide and photographer, Bob White lives in Marine on the St. Croix River in Minnesota.  He has worked as both artist and guide in geographical locations that include Alaska, Argentina and rural areas of his native state.   His specialties are fly fishing and wing shooting, and his photographs are often used for portraits in sporting magazines.

In 1988, he was awarded the Guide of the Year designation by Fly Rod & Reel Magazine, and in 1994, he was voted Artist of the Year for the Alaska State Parks Foundation.  He has also been featured as a guide and artist on the programs "Fly Fishing the World" and "Fly Fishing America" on ESPN and on "Minnesota Bound" hosted by Ron Schara.

Exhibitions include Madonna College in Livonia, Michigan; and the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
