Emile Aubry was a painter who was born in Setif, Algeria and died in Voutenay Sur Cure, Burgundy, France. His mediums are oil, watercolour, pastel, pencil and charcoal. His subjects; mythological, historical, spiritual, religious, portraits, nudes, orientalism and North Africa. His styles are art deco, classical, representational and figurative. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (Paris) under the orientalist Jean-Leon Gerome (1824-1904); and with the portrait (showing 500 of 1614 characters). |
